I think it’s important for us to know each other if we’re going to work together. When we meet I’ll ask you a lot of questions about you, your story, and your style, so below is a bit about me that might be helpful in connecting and creating authentic photographs and content that reflect the real you.

Hi, I’m Shelby.

I’m a photographer/content creator and social media manager who is always searching for ways to make my work stand out and be memorable while staying true to my client. I’ve been taking photos for about 15 years and I still remember the first time I knew I wanted to be a photographer – I was just a kid when I took a photo of our giant maple tree in the front yard of my childhood home and was transported.

When I photograph someone or something, my goal is always to capture my subject in their most authentic form. I want the end result to make you feel that you or your work are meaningful – because they are.

I’m very passionate about collaboration. In my sessions I endeavor to invite you into the process so we’re working together as a team.

If you want some personal details, I’m an introvert who can fake being extroverted. I love to read and watch movies and eat good food. I live in a small city in central Illinois, but I grew up on a farm and in a very small rural town and ache to live in a bigger city someday. My husband is quite literally my best friend and our two boys are the center of my world.
